Perlim, the largest Christmas theme park in Portugal

 In the Portuguese town of Santa María da Feira (Aveiro, Porto) Christmas is lived with great intensity. Since 2008, the entire city has been transformed during these dates, and its emblematic Quinta do Castelo castle is home to the largest Christmas theme park in all of Portugal, Perlim.

Every year, the originality of the park and the quality of the contents and attractions have been bringing thousands of visitors to Perlim, transforming this small initiative into a magical space with great tourist attraction, which every year attracts more Portuguese and Spanish, especially from neighboring areas such as Galicia.

Perlim's story is based on a fantastic world, where two elves, Perlim and Pim Pim, are the main characters. In this way, the Christmas theme goes further and this theme park has managed to create its own imaginary around these two elves, their friends and other emblematic characters of popular culture such as Merlin or Santa Claus, in an environment that excites the most little ones and that surprises adults.

An edition full of magic

This 2022 edition is doubly special, for being the first version of Perlim without sanitary restrictions in two years and for the impressiveness of its staging. Hundreds of actors and social promoters work throughout the month of December to make Santa María da Feira an incomparable Christmas show in more than 18 spaces, activities and performances.

Within the surroundings of Quinta do Castelo we can find spaces such as the Perlim Arena, a small dance floor for the little ones; several zip lines and bridges between the trees in the garden; Lapland, a space where you can meet Santa Claus and the thousands of gifts that he must deliver during these days; two brand new carousels and more than eight shows that take place throughout the Christmas park throughout the day.

Christmas Market and Magikal Circus

In addition, near Quinta de Castelo there is a large Christmas Market, where you can enjoy a wide gastronomic offer (especially sweets), as well as souvenir shops and merchandising from the park itself.

To move between these spaces and enjoy a pleasant trip, we can get on the Magic Tram, which runs through the entire facility in a circular route. It is also possible to visit the Magikal Circus, where a show is performed every day in a space with 750 seats where various artists tell us an emotional story about the importance of showing our emotions to others.

As if that were not enough, Perlim's impressive leisure offer is completed in the city of Santa María da Feira itself, with an exhibition of Christmas nativity scenes at the Museo Conventos dos Lóios, where a series of sculptural ensembles from collectors of Perlim itself are displayed. municipality.
